More Details On ‘Disney Dream Cruise Line’ Exclusive Content For Disney Infinity

Seagoers who sail out on a voyage on the Disney Dream Cruise Line starting this November will have the chance to unlock special Disney Infinity 3.0 content including a Toy Box edition of the boat and other items.

In order to get the exclusive content, you must take home one of the magic bands (or also called an Oceaneer Band) that are provided to kids who want to go to the designated youth areas.

The unofficial Disney Cruise blog has a great round up on it…

For those who may not be familiar with the way the Disney Cruise Line’s secured Youth Activities programing works, children are issued an Oceaneer Band that is attached and secured to either their wrist or ankle. The bands are then scanned to check the child into and out of the secured spaces. The bracelets allow Youth Activities Cast Member to keep an accurate count and a general location of each child within the secured Youth Activities spaces aboard the ship.

At the end of the trip, the parents can either return the bands or purchase them for a fee.

It is not clear yet what bands will work. To date, there are technically four different bands that have been in use on the various Disney cruise ships.

So what will it all unlock?

Officially it will unlock the Disney Dream Ship Toy, but as you can see in the image above, it looks like it will unlock some towns people and other content as well.

The reasoning for the exclusive on the ship is to celebrate the new ‘Disney Infinity space featuring Toy Box elements at Disney’s Oceaneer Club on board the Disney Dream ship – a new dedicated interactive space featuring Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition game kiosks and interactive experiences’.

Pretty cool to see Disney Infinity get such a huge push into other Disney elements.
