Disney Infinity 3.0 Set For Release In Late August / Early September

All signs are pointing to a late August / early September release for Disney Infinity 3.0 in North America.

Previously you may remember I showed off a date in Best Buy’s system of August 23rd, which may still be in play. But looks like it will probably be later than that and more than likely into September.

As you may recall, the Playstation exclusive limited ‘Saga’ edition Starter Pack includes the Rise Against The Empire playset as a timed exclusive.

So you will be able to play that Play Set before the wider audience will be able to purchase it. But how long will everyone else have to wait? Well the official word from Disney is that the Rise Against The Empire playset is exclusive to the bundle for “nearly a month before it hits store shelves”.

So stepping backwards, the second Star Wars playset will launch less than a month after the release of Disney Infinity 3.0.

Coincidentally, we do have a release date for the Rise Against The Empire play set… September 29th.

So backing up from there, that means Disney Infinity will release somewhere in late August or early September. I would still put my money on a Sunday rather than a Tuesday to follow the rest of the industry (LEGO Dimensions, Skylanders Superchargers are both launching on a Sunday, and Nintendo/amiibo often has a Sunday release).

I’ll keep you updated!
