Disney Infinity Anakin Skywalker Light FX Figure Up For Pre-Order at Best Buy, Confirms 12/1 Release

The Anakin Skywalker Light FX Figure for Disney Infinity is the first figure in the Light FX series that is available for pre-oder, this one at Best Buy, and confirms the release date of 12/1.

Previously we saw the date in Target’s blog about this Holidays Hot Toys. At the time, it looked like the Yoda figure in the Light FX line could be a Target exclusive. But now due to the fact that Anakin is the only one available for pre-order at Best Buy, that seems to confirm retail exclusives. Since six figures are being released, that would match up with the typical retail exclusive lineup (Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Toys ‘R’ Us, and Walmart).

Retail exclusives make sense for these figures as these would take up a lot of additional shelf space. With the number of figures coming out for Disney Infinity 3.0, adding an additional six is a huge undertaking. So giving each store one additional figure is much more manageable.

Disappointing though is it looks like the packaging is just the normal packaging with a sticker attached to the plastic. I could see this becoming an issue with either the sticker falling off, or being moved to a different product.

If that is all the ‘visual’ differences that separate the figures, your best bet may be to check the UPC bar code on the pack, and that will give you a true confirmation as these figures will cost $1 extra.

In case you don’t know already, these line of Light FX figures were some figures made real late in the process of Disney Infinity 3.0. These figures have the extra ability of having their light sabers glow when placed on the base. It took Disney a lot of trial and error to get right, so that (in my opinion) is why we didn’t get these figures as a default. But thankfully Disney eventually got them to work out, and be safe for the kids to play.

The line up includes: Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, Kanan, Darth Vader, Yoda, and Obi-Wan. No additional waves are planned at this time, but obviously that could change at anytime.
