Disney Infinity 3.0 Figure Waves 2 & 3 Release Dates Detailed

GameStop has posted the pre-orders for several new Disney Infinity 3.0 figures giving us a glimpse at to what Wave 2 and 3 will entail. In addition, the pre-orders have gone live on Amazon for the figures, though the pictures and release dates have not been fully updated yet. The news comes shortly after I got my hands on some close up looks at the Disney Infinity Ultron and Marvel figure boxes.

First up here is our current schedule

WAVE 2 — SEPTEMBER 29

• Darth Vader
• Han Solo
• Chewbacca
• Rise Against The Empire Play Set
• Rise Against The Empire Power Disc Pack

WAVE 3 — NOVEMBER 3RD

• Darth Maul
• Hulkbuster
• Ultron

So Disney Infinity will be releasing the next wave (tentatively) just two days after their stiff competition from LEGO and their release of LEGO Dimensions. So the previous quote of wave 2 being released ‘nearly a month’ after the release of Disney Infinity 3.0 was not a lie… it’s 1 day earlier than a full month.

I’m shocked that Darth Vader is releasing on September 29th, I honestly thought he’d be pushed back later like Darth Maul to make a ‘villain wave’ like we had in Disney Infinity 2.0. But the force is strong with Darth Vader, and we all know it will sell like crazy.

I’m okay with this timeline, they’re almost a month apart between release -> wave 2 -> wave 3. I think that’s a steady pace for them to follow.
