POLL: Which Disney Infinity Starter Pack Pricing Do You Like More?

Disney Infinity brought down the price in this edition of Disney Infinity, but did it really get cheaper or did it become more expensive?

If you first look at the price, you may think: “Wow! Great! Disney Infinity Starter Packs are now $10 cheaper!”. But closer look shows that may not be the case.

In Disney Infinity 1.0 and 2.0 you got three figures, whereas 3.0 you only get two. In addition you got some extra content providing some extra value. In 1.0 you got a free power disc ($2.50), in 2.0 you got the two toy box game discs ($10). 3.0 you don’t get anything extra, doesn’t even look like a poster is included.

So really… is Disney Infinity 3.0 cheaper? You lose the extra value, plus to purchase a third figure, you would technically now be at $77.98.

Now that brings me to the poll question. Which price preference do you like?

For some, $64.99 is great as they don’t have the budget to invest a lot into the game, so this provides a lower entry to the game.

For others, there is a large amount of value taken out in the Disney Infinity 3.0 pack, and they would prefer if the pack was kept at the normal $74.99 bundle price.

I can see why Disney chose to go this route. For your standard consumer who is not going to compare the prices between all the games. Disney is $64.99, Skylanders is $74.99, and LEGO is $99.99. Each have a valid reason for being the price they are at. But at the end, many just see the price point.
