Recap: Disney Infinity Toy Box TV Live Edition 05/08/15

In case you missed it, on Friday the Disney Infinity team hosted their first ever Toy Box TV Live Edition, which they are planning on making into a weekly occurrence.

On this week’s episode they covered a lot, giving us many new details in regards to Disney Infinity 3.0. If you did miss the episode, you can catch a recap at the bottom (which probably is already playing, as Twitch

Here is what they confirmed (in chronological order)…

• Mickey has the ability to summon some of his Mickey Mouse Club House friends like Pluto and Goofy to help fight
• Ultimate unlock confirmed for 3.0, and something JV is very excited about
• More figures and play sets are on their way for 3.0
• Quadruped figures (characters that have 4 legs) and swimming appear not to be in Disney Infinity 3.0. Team is working on it for future games.
• Disney Infinity 3.0 figures, play sets, power discs, etc. are able to be played with in 3.0
• Disney Infinity 1.0 and 2.0 play sets will not be compatible with Disney Infinity 3.0. All figures, power discs, toy boxes, etc. will be compatible.
• Information on what power discs we can expect in Disney Infinity 3.0 will be coming in a future episode.
• As in 2.0, multiplayer will be restricted to 4 player online in the toy boxes, and 2 player offline in the Play Sets
• The digital version of Disney Infinity 3.0 will be available at launch. North American gamers will not be getting a ‘baseless’ option in retail stores.
• There will be no ‘second starter pack’ for Disney Infinity 3.0. Just the Star Wars 3.0 Starter Pack
• “No Comment” on whether there will or will not be a collector’s edition, but JV is excited about what’s to come
