Disney Infinity ‘Disney Originals’ Power Disc #41 and #42 found? (Update #2)

It’s been stated that there are 80 power discs total in Disney Infinity 2.0. 40 Marvel, 40 Disney. But we just found #41 and #42. Chernobog (who was in 1.0) and King Louie.

In our Disney Infinity 2.0 Power Disc Guide you can see all 80 of the discs, neither of those discs are present.

As stated before, Chernobog had a disc in Disney Infinity 1.0. But as you can see in the picture, this disc has the 2.0 branding and even has a different paint scheme.

I did reach out to him this afternoon to see if he knew anything about the mysterious discs. He told me he believes they were power up discs, but unfortunately he did not use them during his time with the game this weekend.

So what are these mysterious figures? I have a couple of theories…

1. The 40 power discs that has been stated is what is coming in the individual power disc packs. The now ‘extra’ discs will come exclusively in some sort of set. Whether it’s a two figure set (such as the wreck-it-ralph or frozen sets from last year), or something else entirely.
2. The ’40 power discs’ was just marketing speak, and there are in fact more than 40 in future waves.
3. There are only 40 and 2 of the ones that we know about will not be hitting retail
4. Add your own.

So what do you think? I’d love to hear your theories!

That seems pretty definite to me. I may have to go through our list again to see if there is any possible mistakes.

We now have a clearer look at both discs thanks to CCRunner524 over at DisneyInfinityFans

Still no clear answer for why we have now seen 42 disney power discs, but we’ll keep an eye out!
